Tails and Ales

On Saturday 3rd March the MyVet Twin Towns team went along to Seagulls Club for their “Tails and Ales” event. The awesome people at Seagulls organised “Tails and Ales” as a fundraiser for the Animal Welfare League Queensland (AWLQ), a Gold Coast based charity that helps to re-home abandoned and surrendered companion animals.

The outdoor event was pet friendly and plenty of people brought their fur-babies with them on the day! The fun filled day also included craft beers and food trucks, a jumping castle and face painting for the kids, a band, as well as an off-leash area for puppies to have a play and socialise.

Dr Kirsty, Dr Bernd, Practice Manager Janine and Nurse Mallika all went along to help out at the MyVet Twin Towns stand, where we had some great doggie bags to give away! There was a paw-some MyVet hamper donated to the Tails and Ales raffle prizes, and we also did health checks and nail trims to help raise funds for the AWLQ.

Everyone had such a fun day – we met “Ollie” the Daschund Sheriff, some Storm Troopers and many more! Thanks to everyone who came along in support of such a great cause - it was great to see some of our regular clients out and about, as well as meet some new faces!
